Still Water
from the Still-Wilds project
This series focuses on the bodies of water and rainy puddles found within the four coastal preserves. The images ignore the rush of the seawater and instead turn toward the calm of puddles, lakes, marsh, and river. From mirror glass surface where water bugs dash forward and aft disrupting the reflections of the sky, to the murky swirl of foliage at once messy and mesmerizing, these images draw the viewer in to contemplate a water world where natural processes unfold quietly in contrast to the sea.
